Windows 10 freezes randomly [Solved] - Driver Easy - Question Info

I built a PC recently, and it is currently running well on a mechanical hard-drive. Sometimes the PC restarts itself after the cursor becomes unresponsive. If these were all new parts I would have assumed there was a hardware problem; but the PC runs perfectly on the hard-drive, albeit very slowly.

I even tried a fresh install on another hard-drive and the PC still locks up. Windows update is having trouble completing because the PC keeps locking up. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I managed to get all of the Windows updates installed after a few more crashes, and it seems one of the updates fixed the freezing issue.

Strangely, Chrome stopped working after the final large Windows update no connection to the web; whereas Edge and Firefox worked fine , and I was getting strange issue where the PC would hang for a few seconds every couple of minutes Both of these issue went away after creating a new Windows user account.
